Four People Killed in Louisville So Far in Vehicle vs. Pedestrian Accidents

Traffic accidents involving pedestrians in Jefferson County have increased in recent years, according to statistics kept by Kentucky State Police.

Early Thursday morning, a man died after a sports utility vehicle struck him on Taylorsville Road at Lowe Road near Jeffersontown. Witnesses told Louisville Metro Police that the man was walking against the traffic signal, police said. LMPD's Traffic Unit is investigating.

Heading to Lexington for the NCAA Tournament? Think About Traffic

Kentucky transportation officials have a hunch that thousands of people will descend onto Lexington's Rupp Arena for first and second round games of the NCAA Tournament, starting Thursday.

VA Hospital Would Not Affect Traffic, Consultants Say

The Veterans Administration is on the verge of purchasing over 35 acres of property on Brownsboro Road, to build a new VA hospital in Louisville. Consultants on the project say the hospital wouldn't have an impact on traffic or quality of life  in the area. Chris Otts has covered the story for the Courier-Journal, and he joined WFPL's Devin Katayama to talk about the latest developments, and what's next.
