Rick Pitino's Awesome Spring Continues With Maker's Mark Commemorative Bottle

Rick Pitino will be featured on a limited edition series of Maker's Mark bourbon bottles benefiting a University of Louisville academic project.

It's the latest honor for the Cardinals' men's basketball coach, who led the team to the 2013 national championship and will be inducted into the Naismith Memorial Hall of Fame in September. (He was also introduced to body art recently.)

Rick Pitino Gets a Louisville Cardinals Tattoo, as Promised

Louisville Cardinals men's basketball coach Rick Pitino promised that he'd get a celebratory tattoo if his team won 2013 national championship.

They did. 

And so Pitino has carried through with the promise. He got his body art Friday morning at Tattoo Salvation, 1421 Bardstown Road, by artist Adam Potts, University of Louisville athletics says.

Louisville Cardinals Basketball Teams to be Pegasus Parade Grand Marshals

The Louisville Cardinals men's and women's basketball teams will be grand marshals for the 2013 Republic Bank Pegasus Parade. 

The Kentucky Derby Festival began a social media campaign earlier this week to attract the teams—as the men's team won the NCAA national championship and the women's team played in the title game.

ESPN: Rick Pitino to Join Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame

Louisville Cardinals men's basketball coach Rick Pitino will join the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, joining his predecessor Denny Crum, ESPN is reporting.

The announcement for the 2013 Hall of Fame class will be made Monday, ESPN added.

Pitino was nominated in 2012 but was not elected.
