Gridlock: Will The Election Break The 'Lousy Status Quo'?

In the end, the election may not settle anything.

If the polls are correct — and there's been heated debate about that — President Obama will be re-elected Tuesday. Even if he is, he'll have to face a Republican House that appears to be no warmer to his agenda than it's been for the past two gridlocked years.

But the polls are still so close that Republican Mitt Romney might be elected. If that's the case, it appears he'll have to contend with a Senate that remains under Democratic control.

Jack Conway: Voting-Buying with Pills Seen 'On the Margins'

Over the years, votes have been bought in Kentucky with the promise of cash, favors and liquor. More recently, prescription pills may have been used as currency. But, Kentucky Attorney General Jack Conway believes such voting buying is rare

“I don’t want to diminish the prescription pill problem," Conway said. "It’s a huge problem in this state. But, I would submit, in terms of buying votes with pills, it’s probably something you see on the margins."

Cards Prepping for Bearcats; Cincy QB Munchie Legaux: "I'm Better" Than Bridgewater

In college football, the Louisville Cardinals host Cincinnati Friday in their annual battle for the Keg of Nails.

The Cards are unbeaten at 7-0; the Bearcats are 5-1 with their first loss coming last week at Toledo. Both teams are 1-0 in the Big East Conference.

U of L coach Charlie Strong says this is one of the biggest games of his two-and-a-half seasons in Louisville.
