With the Academy Awards campaign season in full swing (yes, non-Oscars buffs, there is such a thing), Louisville native Jennifer Lawrence hosted "Saturday Night Live" this week. Lawrence, an Oscar nominee and recent Golden Globe winner for Silver Linings Playbook, appeared in several segments. Here are a few highlights.

Louisville native Jennifer Lawrence won a Golden Globe Award on Sunday night for her role in the film Silver Linings Playbook.

Lawrence, 22, won in the best actress in a comedy or musical category, beating out Emily Blunt (Salmon Fishing in the Yemen), Judi Dench (The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel), Maggie Smith (Quartet as Jean Horton) and Meryl Streep (Hope Springs).

It's hard to argue that an actress has had a better past 12 months than Jennifer Lawrence.

On Thursday morning, the Louisville native was nominated for an Academy Award for best actress for her role in the dramedy Silver Linings Playbook. 

It's her second nomination. In 2010, Lawrence was nominated for her role in the dark indie drama Winter's Bone.

Jennifer Lawrence was nominated Thursday morning in the Golden Globe's best actress in a comedy or musical, her second nod for a major acting award in as many days.

The nomination is for her role in Silver Linings Playbook, a comedy about a man (played by Bradley Cooper) who struggles with mental illness after his marriage disintegrates. Lawrence plays his love interest, who is struggling with depression.
