Art Exhibit Honors 'The Greatest' at Ali Center

A new art exhibit honoring Muhammad Ali is open at The Muhammad Ali Center. “Ali: the Greatest” is a fine art tribute curated by Evolve The Gallery in Sacramento, Calif. Gallery co-owners Brady and A. Michelle Blakeley challenged 19 artists from across the country to create works inspired by the boxing legend.

Though the artists all share the same subject, their work is anything but uniform.

Award-Winning Architects Seek Out 'Unheroic' Designs

The American Institute of Architects has awarded Louisville's De Leon & Primmer Architecture Workshop a 2013 Institute Honor Award for their design of operational facilities on Goshen's Mason Lane Farm. The project includes two new barns and a relocated silo for a centrally-located complex that consolidates maintenance, office and operations facilities previously scattered across the property, owned by Eleanor Bingham Miller.

Rachel Grimes to Play 'Caligari' Piano at KMAC

Louisville pianist and composer Rachel Grimes (Rachel's, Kings Daughters and Sons) is the latest musician to perform at the Kentucky Museum of Art and Craft this month.

Included in their on-going Wendell Castle: Forms Within Forms exhibit is a Steinway Art Case piano designed by Castle, and KMAC is hosting a series of performances pairing innovative musicians with the musical work of art.
