The Republican National Convention is over, with Mitt Romney formally accepting the GOP presidential nomination.  Friday on Byline, we talked about the RNC with the Courier-Journal’s James Carroll, who covered the convention in Tampa, WFPL's Phillip Bailey, and Kentucky Public Radio’s Kenny Colston. 

The Republican National Convention has been postponed Monday due to tropical storm Isaac, but Kentucky delegates are still headed to Tampa, Florida to support presidential nominee Mitt Romney.

Given a position over his father, U.S. Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., is listed as one of the speakers at the Republican National Convention that will officially make former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney the party's nominee.
