TARC Leader Responds to Bus Shooting

The Transit Authority of River City is reacting to a brazen homicide that was committed on a bus this week.

According to the Jefferson County Coroner's office, 17-year-old Rico Robinson Jr., died Monday afternoon from a single gunshot to the head while riding a TARC bus.

Suspects Sought in Churchill Downs Homicide

Louisville Metro Police say they have no suspects in their investigation into a Derby weekend homicide on the Churchill Downs backside.

The body of 48 year old Adan Fabian Perez was discovered early yesterday morning in a barn. Officials say he lived and worked on the backside as a groom.

LMPD homicide detective Lt. Barry Wilkerson says there are indications that Perez was involved in an altercation, but an autopsy today will determine the exact cause of death.

Churchill Downs Homicide Victim Identified

Louisville Metro Police continue their investigation into the death of a man whose body was found early today in a barn on the Churchill Downs backside.

He’s been identified as 48 year old Adan Fabian Perez of Guatemala, who lived on the backside. A state racing officials tells the Courier-Journal that Perez was a groom at the track.

The death has been ruled a homicide. Police say Perez was apparently involved in an altercation, but an exact cause of death has not been determined. An autopsy has been scheduled for tomorrow.
