Biographer T.J. Stiles in Louisville

Award-winning biographer and historian T.J. Stiles spoke before a packed auditorium at the Louisville Free Public Library on May 12, 2010, about his latest book, The First Tycoon: The Epic Life of Cornelius Vanderbilt.  The book was recently named the T.J. Stiles at Library (photo: B.Masuhr)winner of the 2010 Pulitzer Prize for Biography, and also received the prestigious National Book Award in 2009.  A gripping, groundbreaking biography, The First Tycoon explores the combative man whose acumen and force of will helped create modern capitalism.
