That question has of course been the source of passionate debate in recent times, although efforts to cut or eliminate such funding have surfaced periodically for years. At the risk of giving Mr. Bose another chance to filibuster, I’d like to point out that of the 500 channels most speak with the voice of corporate America, much more than with pbs speaks with the voice of the American bureaucracy.
