Cards Prepare for Oral Roberts Tomorrow

After two straight home losses, Coach Rick Pitino says he’s re-working some aspects of his team’s strategy. The University of Louisville men’s basketball team fell at Freedom Hall to Charlotte and Western Carolina.

Pitino says it would be easy to point to something like missed free throws as the culprit, but he thinks it’s a bigger problem.

“It’s our transition defense that’s giving up threes, giving up easy shots, and causing us problems, and we’re going to develop a different type of scheme to make sure we don’t have those problems anymore,” says Pitino, “and it’ll give us time to improve some of the weaknesses we have, and take our time with it, so this is a welcome time of year for us.”

Pitino says they’ll address those problems in the now-unlimited practice time they can have because of the Christmas holiday.

The 5-3 Cards face 6-5 Oral Roberts next – tomorrow evening at Freedom Hall.

I Know that Pastor Roberts has went home to be with the Lord. He had need of him. Our Family has a long history with the Oral Roberts Ministry. My husband’s grandmother and his Aunt Ida (Graves-Loveland) out of Denver, Colorado were long time financial partners with this wonderful ministry. Grandma Loveland died at the age of 92 several years ago. Aunt Ida who died at 96 never missed Pastor Roberts nor failed to support his ministry in partnership. They are both in heaven now, and were the most wonderful Christian Hanky wavers with roots in the Nazarene Church. These were great ladies of Faith. We all appreciated and loved Pastor Roberts, but I feel that the Lord had a greater mission in Heaven for him. We Lost my husband’s mother Darline Hadden several years ago suddenly, and she was one of the greatest home and children evangelist I know. I did not know until Rod Parsley and Pastor Roberts spoke of ultimate healing that was what My Naomi mother-in-law wanted. Two huge angels took her home and her daughter and three daughters were witness to it in the hospital room.
We thank the Lord so much for the Oral Roberts ministry, and we believe in these last days that the Lord is doing a new thing and raising up again the Great Awakening, and the Ministry is a legacy that will perform the mission that Lord has called it today. My prayer is with all the family members and that you are comforted with the sweet peace that only the Lord reserves for servants on a Job WELL Done!!! Love and Prayers the Haddens, Lovelands, Graves, families throughout this United States, Barbara Taylor Hadden
