In every measure except COST we fall far behind most of the industrialized world, from life expectancy, to overall outcomes, we are not getting the "finest health care in the world." Just because it's the most expensive, doesn't make it the best: that's the problem with a profit-driven system for delivering medical services. If the price goes up, people assume it's better. The sad part is, most people are being fooled into believing that.
