The Morehead State Eagles won the play-in game of the men’s NCAA basketball tournament Tuesday in Dayton, Ohio, defeating Alabama State 58-43.

Morehead State will play top-seeded Louisville Friday at 7:10pm. It will be the second meeting of the teams this season. The Cardinals won the first contest 79-41 in November at Freedom Hall.

Meanwhile, the University of Kentucky Wildcats have advanced to the second round of the National Invitation Tournament. They defeated UNLV 70-60 Tuesday in Lexington.

Kentucky will play the winner of Wednesday’s Creighton/Bowling Green game.
